Shannon Dunlap is a talented hair stylist at Canandaigua Hair and a devoted mother whose daughter cheers and attends Victor High School with my own. Our families have grown close through our daughters’ friendship, and Shannon has always been someone who brings warmth and kindness to those around her. Now, she is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life.

Recently, Shannon was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. She has started an intensive treatment plan that includes both chemotherapy and radiation. The side effects have been difficult, and as a result, Shannon is unable to work for a while, and the sudden loss of income has put a tremendous strain on her ability to cover basic living expenses and continue supporting her daughter during this uncertain time.

Shannon does not have many family members locally, so the support of friends, neighbors, and the community means everything to her.
