Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
I am reaching out today with a heavy heart but a hopeful spirit to ask for your support for my wonderful husband, Shannon. Recently, our lives were turned upside down when Shannon was diagnosed with a serious illness. This news has been devastating for our family, and he is currently facing a long, difficult road to recovery that includes upcoming surgeries, intense chemotherapy, and physical therapy. Shannon has always been the rock of our family—hardworking, selfless, and always the first to help anyone else in need. Now, he is the one who needs a helping hand.
Shannon is also a long-standing member of the Ocala community, dedicated to keeping families across the county region safe on the roads. He has always cared deeply about the well-being of his customer family at Shannon's Foreign Car Service, going above and beyond to help others. His commitment to our community has touched many lives, and now we hope the community can rally around him in his time of need.
Because of the severity of his condition and the grueling schedule of his treatments, he is completely unable to work for the foreseeable future. While our primary focus is on his healing and getting him healthy, the financial reality of a medical crisis has quickly become overwhelming. Even with health insurance, the out-of-pocket medical expenses are skyrocketing, and these changes have left us struggling to keep up with our everyday household bills. We are raising funds because the true cost of this battle is much higher than we initially anticipated.
Every single dollar raised will take a massive weight off Shannon's shoulders, allowing him to focus 100% of his energy on fighting this illness rather than stressing over how we will pay for his next treatment. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with your network or on social media. Your prayers, positive thoughts, and words of encouragement mean more to us than words can say. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing by us during the hardest chapter of our lives.
With love and gratitude,
Dara & Shannon
