Hi everyone,

As many of you know, our dear friend and colleague Shane underwent aortic valve reconstructive surgery on Tuesday at the Cleveland Clinic. While the surgery itself was successful, Shane has faced serious complications in recovery. His heart struggled to restart on its own, and he is currently on ECMO (a form of life support) as his medical team works to stabilize him and treat multiple concerns.

This morning, Shane was officially placed on the heart transplant list. Thankfully, he is considered a preferred candidate, and we are hopeful a suitable heart will become available soon.

In the meantime, Shane and his wife Lauren are navigating an incredibly difficult and uncertain time. Between time away from work, travel, lodging near the hospital, and the long road of recovery ahead, the financial strain is significant.

We’ve set up this fundraiser with a goal of $10,000 to help ease the burden on Shane and Lauren. Every donation—no matter the size—will go directly toward supporting their expenses and allowing them to focus on what matters most: Shane’s recovery and healing.
