Over the last three years, my health has taken a difficult turn due to a serious autoimmune-related heart condition. After multiple heart surgeries, my doctors have determined that I am not a good candidate for a full transplant due to the chance of rejection. Instead, I am now preparing for an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device), which is a major step in my ongoing treatment. The surgery itself is approximately $175,000 to $250,000. This has been extremely difficult, both physically and emotionally, and has affected my ability to work and support my family.
As I get ready for this next surgery, I will be unable to work for the next couple of months, and I won’t be able to assist my wife, Shannon, with our business. The frequent travel back and forth to the Houston Medical Center adds up quickly, and the bills are already piling up. While I am in the process of applying for Social Security Disability, the process is long and uncertain. In the meantime, the costs of surgery, medical care, and daily living expenses continue to grow, making it difficult to keep up.
Support from this fundraiser will help cover my medical bills, travel expenses, and living costs during this difficult time. Any help possible would be greatly appreciated, and your kindness will make a real difference for me and my family as we navigate this challenging chapter. Thank you for considering supporting my journey.
