On Wednesday night, my sister’s world was turned upside down with the sudden passing of Shane McCarn. He loved his family more than anything and leaves behind my sister and their five children, whose lives have been forever changed. My sister, a part time librarian with the Sonoma County Library, is now facing unimaginable grief while supporting five children and navigating the sudden loss of her partner and primary support. Because of the circumstances of his passing in their family home, they are unable to remain there and will need to relocate.
