Over the course of May and into June, Shana began not feeling well. She was barely eating, and anything she did manage to eat was not staying down. She was sleeping 16-20 hours a day.

On Wednesday June 15th, Alex took Shana to the hospital. On Friday June 17th, she received the news that she had Stage 4 Liver Cancer which had spread to her stomach and pancreas.

Unfortunately, due to the advanced stage of her cancer, undergoing chemo would be extremely painful and risky. Because of the stage of the cancer and the pain it was causing her, she is currently sedated to keep her comfortable.

This has come as a complete shock to everyone. Shana has always been a force to be reckoned with.

These funds will be used towards the expenses that have been accruing for her diagnosis, hospital care, and final transition, to help cover travel costs for her family and allow them time to take off work, and of course to make sure her beloved dog Pickles is well taken care of.
