Hello, I’m Chloe, Shakira’s sister in law.

Myself and my husband have made this fundraiser in hopes to raise funds to support Shakira and her parents during this difficult time.

Shakira is 17 years old and on the 28th December 2025 unexpectedly suffered a spinal stroke and was rushed into the hospital where she has been since.

She is in the high dependency critical care unit and requires breathing tubes and lots of other life saving measures. She is unable to speak and lip reading is required but due to medical equipment this can also be difficult.

She has lost movement in both arms and is going to require therapy to retrain her muscles.

Her parents have been by her bedside everyday, after exhausting all holiday pay available in their jobs, cancelling upcoming family holidays, travel costs and loss of income due to being by their daughters side, we would like to be able to provide support so they also do not have to also worry about bills piling up as well as their daughters ill health.

It’s uncertain when Shakira will be able to return home with more uncertainty on the aftermath/needs she will require following this unexpected tragedy.

Any amounts raised will go straight to Shakira’s parents to help ease the pressure of work and normal duties so the can solely focus on being by their daughters side.
