On New Year's night, our world changed forever. My three children—two sons, ages 17 and 22, and my 20-year-old daughter—lost their father to suicide. The pain is unimaginable, and we are still in shock. My daughter, who was always a daddy's girl, found her dad just minutes after the ball dropped. She is devastated, and the grief has been overwhelming for all of us.

We are now facing not only the heartbreak of losing someone we love, but also the sudden burden of funeral expenses and the costs of daily living. My daughter had been living with her dad, who was helping her with rent and bills. Now, she is left to manage everything on her own, and she will need counseling and support to get through this trauma. I am doing everything I can to help my children, but we need support from our community to make it through this incredibly difficult time.
