With a heavy heart, I want to let you all know that my mom passed away early yesterday morning. I thought I was mentally prepared for this moment, but I realize now that I wasn’t—and perhaps won’t be for some time. She was such a big part of my life and my children's lives, and her absence leaves a profound emptiness.

For those who had the privilege to know my mom, you know she was truly one of a kind. Her spirit, love, and strength touched everyone she met. We will never be the same without her.
