I have been representing Selkirk Rex rescue for North America for many years. I did fundraisers from time to time in the past, but most of the time, the funds have come from my own pocket. I worked for many years in high tech, and it allowed me to embrace my passion for the breed and rescue. I have sent funds to many rescues to help with Selkirks that they take in.
After fighting cancer and chemo, I didn't work for over a year, and now I'm only part-time. I would like to continue to help where I can, and this is where you come in. I have received two Selkirk Rex cats from a sensitive situation in Montana. They are both about 10 years old and will require extensive Medical care. We have very little funds for this. One cat appears to be blind. I've named him Red. He is the cat pictured. The other cat is in a bit better shape. Please help if you can. They are currently being evaluated by a local veterinarian and we have requested blood work and urinalysis so far. I will post updates when I know more
I am not a 501c3, but ask anybody in the Selkirk community, and they will tell you that I am legitimate. I have run Selkirk Rex Rescue and Retired Breeding Cats since 2012. Anything that you contribute will go directly towards taking care of Selkirks in need around the US and Canada.
