My name is Selena. I'm 23 years old and writing this with a completely broken heart. Just 3 years after losing my father to a tragic act of violence, on June 28th, 2026, my life changed forever when I lost my mother unexpectedly. There are truly no words to describe the pain of losing a parent so young, so suddenly. Our family is completely devastated.

My mother leaves behind my 3 younger sisters, my little brother, and newborn twin boys who are still fighting in the NICU. We never expected we would have to navigate life without her.

While we are grieving this unimaginable loss, we are also faced with the overwhelming financial burden of giving our mother the funeral she deserves. Because her passing was so sudden, we were entirely unprepared for the cost of a memorial and burial, let alone figuring out how to move forward as a family. She was the heart of our family that kept us connected through everything.
