Second Cancer Battle,

I'm organizing this fundraiser for my sister LaDonna who is battling cancer for the second time. Her original journey was in 2020 when she had a right-side mastectomy followed by several surgeries, including needing home healthcare for 3 months. After that recovery, she came back strong until October of 2023 when she was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer. Her first battle, she had very good insurance that covered a lot of expenses. This time, after a career change and divorce, her insurance is not covering as much. There are so many additional expenses with treatments, injections, infusions, and scans every 90 days. This all has brought financial hardship with these extra expenses and needing funds for other health issues that have arisen. She still works, so she does not qualify for a lot of assistance. She's the mother of 4, with one son still in college and two grandchildren whose lives she is very active in.
