My name is Dani, and I’m writing this with a completely broken heart. My precious son, Sebastian, passed away suddenly in his sleep on October 30, 2025, after a long and difficult journey following a near-fatal drowning in July 2024.

That day in July changed everything. My sweet boy fought so hard to stay with us — through countless hospital stays, medical procedures, and therapies. He faced every challenge with courage, resilience, and that same beautiful smile that melted everyone’s heart. Despite all his medical complications, Sebastian continued to shine with love, laughter, and strength that inspired everyone who met him.

I was not just his mom, but also his attendant care worker. I worked his nursing hours so I could care for him personally and make sure he always felt safe and loved. But now, since his passing, I no longer have that income — and I’m trying to navigate life without him while facing heartbreaking financial stress.

Before his passing, I had signed a lease for a new place for the two of us — a home I was so excited to make comfortable and accessible for him. Now that he’s gone, I won’t be moving in, but the landlord is holding me to the lease and keeping the funds I already paid until they find a new tenant.

Between that, losing my source of income, and the cost of Sebastian’s funeral, I’m struggling to cover the expenses needed to give him the peaceful, loving farewell he deserves.
