Support for Sebastian (Bashy) Perez Jr. Family

Hello, my name is Susan TaCito, and I hope to raise money for the Perez family in honor of their eight-year-old son, Sebastian, fondly known as "Bashy". After attending three birthday parties and playing with many friends and family on Saturday, May 14th, Bashy had an asthma attack. As his father rushed him to the hospital, he stopped breathing in his grandmother’s arms on the way. The emergency room staff at Children’s Hospital in Dallas were able to revive him. Unfortunately, after 3 ½ days on life support, Bashy succumbed to swelling of the brain.

Sebastian Jr. was a precious and gentle-hearted boy. He was an excellent student who loved the Cowboys, dinosaurs, Legos, Squishmallows, WWE, and soccer until his asthma prevented him from playing. Bashy was also the best big brother to Santi and a role model to all his cousins. As a true leader of his peers, his kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all. I have enjoyed knowing and working with his family for the last 25 years. Although we are not blood-related, they are part of my family by choice.

The shock and disbelief of Bashy’s untimely death left his family overwhelmed and grief-stricken. That alone, combined with medical expenses (they do not have health insurance) and the impending cost of funeral preparation and burial expenses, is truly devastating. By way of this fundraiser page for Bashy, we hope to ease their financial burdens during this unforeseeable, tragic loss. Donations will be used to pay for the funeral and medical expenses.
