We are the Seales. This is our story.
In 2016, we were blessed with a beautiful daughter. We felt in our hearts we had more love to give, and became pregnant in March of 2018. After a miscarriage in April this year, our hearts still desired a second child. After much prayer, we became pregnant in August & all was going well — baby was growing, its heart beating strong, ultrasounds were looking “as good as can be”.
After a scan earlier this month, doctors discovered my pregnancy was a cornual ectopic pregnancy and it was life threatening, attached to a blood vessel. This is a very rare type of pregnancy where the egg is implanted near the fundus (top of the uterus) with no room for the placenta/sac to grow and in not enough muscle to support the growth of the baby. Doctors said they had only seen this twice in 15 years.

I was now in need of emergency surgery. The pregnancy would need to be removed, as well as my right fallopian tube, and my uterus would need to be reconstructed. I would also need chemotherapy, and months of bloodwork to monitor. Doctors said it may take up to a year for my uterus to heal, and thus for us to conceive again. I would be out of work, without compensation.
So why do we need your help...
I am a teacher, and recently relocated and changed schools. Due to a discrepancy in benefits, all of this has been and will be without insurance. We believe “God is our strength, and our ever-present help in times of trouble”, and we are asking for your help.
Thank you in advance for your consideration, generosity, compassion & support.
Love & blessings,
the Seale family (Gina, Gary & Audrey)
