Support for Scott’s End of Life Care & Pauline’s Future

Donation protected
UPDATE 8/10/24:

Our beloved husband, father, and grandpa, Scott, passed away peacefully yesterday, August 9, at 5:25 PM, with his oldest son, Jacob, by his side, holding his hand. We are heartbroken to have lost him far too soon, but we find comfort in knowing his suffering is over. As his son Michael said, Scott is now “on the Brass Cloud,” playing the trumpet for Jesus.

Scott was a man of deep faith, love, and dedication. His infectious laughter, wisdom, and kindness touched everyone who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire us all. Though we mourn his loss, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and hold on to the cherished memories we shared with him.

In this time of grief, we draw strength from each other and from the countless lives Scott impacted. We know he is in a better place, watching over us, and we look forward to the day when we will all be reunited.

Any donations will be used to offset his medical bills during his last few months and to set his bride up for a future without him. We earnestly thank everyone for the support thus far.

Dearest friends and family,

It is with humble and broken hearts that we are reaching out to you once again.

Our beloved husband and father, Scott, is being moved to hospice care after a long and arduous battle with cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer has returned and is now putting pressure on the veins and arteries in his neck - limiting the blood supply to his brain, and causing horrific pain. Due to previous radiation damage and the weakness from everything his body has endured, there is nothing more the doctors can do. Scott has fought bravely, but we have now reached a point where we need your help - yet again.

Scott is a loving husband to Pauline and a dedicated father to his three sons, Jacob (married to Rebekah), Michael, and Stephen. He is also a very proud grandfather to Isaiah (7) and Norah (2). Despite his relentless fight, Scott has not been able to work since April, putting a significant strain on the family’s finances.

As Scott enters hospice care, we are seeking support to help cover the substantial costs associated with his hospital stays, chemo and radiation treatment, end-of-life care, and some of Pauline's living expenses as she navigates this horrific tragedy. Pauline and the family have been doing their best, but the financial burden is overwhelming.

We are humbly asking for donations to help alleviate some of the financial stress during this incredibly challenging time. Your contributions will go directly towards:

• Covering the costs of Scott’s hospital stays, hospice care, and end of life arrangements
• Supporting Pauline with living expenses during and after this difficult period as she learns how to navigate life without Scott

If you would rather donate via mail, checks (with "SOWLES" written in the memo line) can be mailed to:
Faith Lutheran Church

Any amount you can give will make a difference and is greatly appreciated. Even if you cannot donate, sharing this campaign with your network would mean the world to us. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, prayers, and kindness during this time.

Thank you,
Jacob, Rebekah, Michael, and Stephen
