Support for Scott Rifenbark's Liver Transplant

Donation protected
Scott is my brother in law and in need of a liver transplant.  He was recently diagnosed with end stage liver disease. He  is currently awaiting placement on the liver transplant list.  Scott's liver disease was unexpected as it was not caused by lifestyle choices or genetics.   Many of you may know him as the  local  business owner of Rifenbark Armory or as a former Saginaw County Sheriffs deputy.  He is an amazing husband to my sister Laurie and the best daddy to my 7 year old niece Emma.  Scott is currently unable to work and their family will have numerous expenses in their near future.  Scott's story is below.

(Any donations or  prayers will be greatly appreciated and will help with expenses for him, his family and the possible donor.)

Scott's Story

As some of you know, my health hasn't been that great lately. Over the past couple of years I've been experiencing abdominal pain but the source of the pain has been undetectable until recently. Back in December I was finally referred to Henry Ford Hospital where I was diagnosed with Non-alcoholic Cirrhosis of the liver. I been getting labs and blood work every 2 weeks since then for monitoring purposes.

This past week we met with the doctors at Henry Ford once again and learned that my condition had worsened much faster than expected. I am now at End Stage Liver Disease. The doctors at Henry Ford are working diligently to get me on the national transplant list as I need a transplant now. However, that list is a long one and it takes almost a year (on average) to get a liver.

However, I am candidate for receiving a living donor transplant. This means, someone who is very healthy with blood type (A+ or O) and between the age of 18 to 55 can possibly donate a portion of their liver and save my life. We have already had a several people step up (God bless them) and fill out a questionnaire, some are waiting to hear if they are a candidate; some have already been told no.

Please say a prayer and pass the word on. GOD Bless.
