On Sunday, May 11, 2025, Scott Meadows, from Sissonville, WV, was seriously injured during the WEXCR Adult Quad race held in Ohio. He had to be transported to CAMC General Division for treatment. He suffered a broken pelvis in two places. Surgery was required to repair the damage and the recovery time will be extensive. He must remain in a wheelchair for 10-12 weeks, with no weight bearing allowed. Then physical therapy will begin to reestablish walking.

This horrific accident is placing many hardships on Scott’s family due to overwhelming medical expenses, not to exclude the fact that he will not be able to work for several months. Scott is the main source of income for his wife and young granddaughter, and normal living expenses such as mortgage, car payments, food, utilities, and such, will be essentially impossible to meet, while recovering from this accident.
