My uncle Scott Guerin unexpectedly passed away at the age of 70 a few days after his birthday which was on August 9th. He was one of the few relatives on my dad’s side of the family I was close with and was one of the only remaining connections to my dad who passed away in 2003 when I was only 1, so having a relationship with Scott was very important to me. I first met him in 2016 online and met him in person a couple times after that when visiting California from Ohio. I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with him over the years since moving to LA in 2021, sharing memories of the family, the LA punk days, listening to records, drinking beer, hanging with his cats, getting Albredos, etc. I actually last visited him on the 4th of this month. I was always grateful for his wealth of knowledge, amazing humor, flawless memory, and stories only he could tell. He was a true original and one of a kind.

He didn’t have too many close relatives remaining and I was his closest living relative. With that comes the cost of services needed to lay him to rest and to take care of the financial aspects of departure. I also took in one of his cats who needed some veterinary visits and basic amenities such as litter and food.

we’re raising funds to help pay for the costs of memorial service arrangements, cremation, and other lingering expenses.

Myself along with my great Aunt Victoria are grateful for all the support and help during this time and would appreciate any financial support if possible. Even just sharing this would be greatly appreciated. My birthday is the 26th of this month and in Lieu of gifts, i’d really appreciate any support I could get through this difficult time.
