I am hoping to help raise funds for Scott and Michelle Karst.
Scott had knee replacement about 7 wks ago. He suffered a surgical infection that required his incision to be reopened twice and strong daily IV antibiotics. During his last local hospital stay, he was found to have kidney injury and was transported to a Louisville hospital for care. He’s awaiting a kidney biopsy now and remains hospitalized. His recovery is still in-progress with unknowns.
The past 7 weeks have been difficult. Scott has endured a lot of pain and has demonstrated patience in the face of unknowns. Michelle has been at his side and has carried the burden of worry with optimism despite her own fatigue.
Scott and Michelle are known in their community and within the family as “givers”. They have opened their home to those who needed a soft place to land, and are often thinking of ways to serve others. They have taught their two sons those same values. Michelle is known by many in the community as “Mrs. Michelle”. Children and other teachers adore her as she has helped in different roles in the schools over the years.
Scott and Michelle are thankful for kind messages and prayers. We can also contribute in a tangible way financially as both are off work at this time of illness related to his surgical complications. Money donated will help with bills as well as food and gas for Michelle as the hospital is her home away from home for now. This is our opportunity to return the service and generosity that the Karst family consistently shows others in their family and community.
