We're reaching out to share an urgent need for our son-in-law, Scott Dobrinski, and our daughter, Brenli. Scott was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) on Thursday, June 19th, a rare and serious autoimmune condition that has left him hospitalized and undergoing Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) treatment. This sudden diagnosis has turned their lives upside down considering they have a 21-month old little boy and have a second child on the way due to arrive at the end of July.
Guillain-Barré syndrome is a condition where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the peripheral nerves, leading to muscle weakness, tingling, and, in severe cases, paralysis. For Scott, this has meant sudden difficulty with movement, requiring hospitalization and intensive IVIG therapy to slow the immune system's attack and support nerve recovery. The road to healing is uncertain, often taking months or even longer, with ongoing medical care and rehabilitation.
The medical bills for his hospital stay, IVIG treatments, physical therapy, and more are mounting, and with a new baby on the way, the financial and emotional strain is overwhelming for this young couple
Many of you have asked how you can help or asked where to send a donation. Thank you for being such an amazing support to Scott and Brenli. All of the funds from this fundraiser will go directly to the family to help with medicals bills, travel expenses, and living expenses.
