Daphne Dawn Phoenix lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer on December 10. She left behind a 10 year old daughter, Savannah, aka “Squishy”. Savannah was the center of Daphne’s world. This fund is being set up to help with final expenses and to set-up a trust fund for Savannah's future.

Daphne was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. She was a warrior, and after a bilateral mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment, she rose like the phoenix that she was, out of the ashes and made it into remission. Treatment was hard on her body and left her with complications, even after going into remission. But she kept going.

Then in the fall of 2024, she was told her cancer was back. She was no longer a candidate for traditional chemo. She was told it was terminal. Medications were available to slow the growth, but even those had side effects. The first trial of meds eventually became intolerable due to side effects, and her cancer kept spreading. The second set of meds had fewer side effects, but the cancer did not stop spreading. And before she was able to move on to a third set, her cancer was too far advanced. She spent her final hours surrounded by people who loved and cherished her. She soaked-up every last minute she could with Squishy, letting her paint her nails and making a tree with their fingerprints. She even had a final video call with Squishy as she put her daughter to bed one last time.

Daphne did her best to create a "bucket list" for her and Savannah. Big trips like Disneyland and small activities like kayaking were all on the agenda. They accomplished a lot together in that final year. Not everything, not a lifetime's worth, but a lot.

Daphne lived her best life for Savannah, even knowing it would be cut short. She wanted a plan for her future and wanted a trust set up for her future use.
