Support for Saumen Kundu's Family After Tragedy

Dear Friends,

I’m a colleague of Mr. Saumen Kundu, and I’m raising this fundraiser with the help from my other Collegues to support his family during this incredibly difficult time.

Mr. Saumen Kundu tragically passed away on July 24, 2025, at approximately 7:51 p.m. due to drowning at a beach in Sea Pines, Hilton Head Island. According to the Beaufort County Coroner’s Office, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is the investigating agency.

Update from the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office (10:06 a.m.):

Mr. Kundu, a 49-year-old father from Georgia, and his son were caught in a rip current while in the water. Hearing calls for help, bystanders entered the water to assist. Emergency responders from Hilton Head Island Fire and Rescue and Shore Beach Services arrived and helped bring everyone back to shore. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts, Mr. Kundu was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His family is in deep shock and facing financial hardship as they navigate this sudden loss.

He leaves behind his wife and one son, who now need our support to cover essential expenses and begin healing.
