Today was the first time Sara’s two youngest kids were able to see their mom since the accident. They stood by her hospital bed holding her hand, trying to be brave, even though they’ve been scared and confused since the moment everything happened. Watching them see her like this for the first time broke our hearts.

Sara was hit head‑on on her way to work. Her back was broken, her car was totaled, and she had emergency surgery where doctors placed rods and screws in her spine. She faces a long, painful recovery and won’t be able to work for a while.

These kids need their mom.
