Support for Sarah’s Mental Health Recovery
Donación protegida
In March, I made the difficult but necessary decision to enter residential treatment for my mental health. I returned home in April, hopeful and more stable. Unfortunately in May, I was retraumatized and had to reenter care in June. The trauma program I tried wasn’t the right fit, and I came home in July still searching for the right path.
Now, after consulting with my treatment team and reflecting deeply on what works for me, I’m preparing to enter a program that aligns far better with my needs. It offers the structure, support, and trauma-informed care I’ve been missing, and I believe it will finally give me the stability to thrive.
But there’s a problem: the program is out-of-network with my insurance, meaning many of the costs fall directly on me and my family.
Why I’m Asking for Help
This journey has been long, costly, and emotionally exhausting, not just for me, but for my wife and our kids. I’m doing everything I can to get well, but the financial strain is real.
I’m asking for your support to help cover:
• Out-of-pocket medical expenses from treatment (both in- and out-of-network)
• Basic living expenses like rent, food, and health insurance for my family while I’m away
• Travel-related costs for accessing the next program (flights, hotel, ground transport)
• Incidental costs not reimbursed by insurance (medications, labs, etc.)
How You Can Help
If you’re able to give, your donation will directly support my continued recovery—and help protect my family during this difficult chapter. Even small contributions mean so much to us right now.
If you can’t give, sharing this fundraiser with others would also mean the world.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with me on the road to healing.
With gratitude,
