We are heartbroken for our friends Eve & Tara Riordon and their dad Russell on the unexpected passing of their beautiful Mum and Wife Sarah and want to help by organising this fundraiser.

As many know and some are yet to find out. Our Gorgeous Sarah 51 happy and healthy suffered a sudden cardiac arrest on the morning of 11th March 2023 in her family home. CPR was administered by her partner Russell and daughter Eve and then ambulance paramedics managed to get Sarah’s heart restarted, she was then admitted to ICU in Geelong hospital. Sarah never regained consciousness. After many days of waiting, testing and endless hospital visits the family was informed that oxygen deprivation had caused irreparable brain damage to 3 areas of Sarah’s brain and the prognosis was that Sarah would not survive. A decision was made to take their beautiful mother and wife off life support.

On March 28th Sarah grew her Angel wings and peacefully left our world.

Russell, Eve and Tara have had their world torn apart. They are utterly devastated. Sarah was the heart, the glue, the machine and jack of everything that ran this family.

Sarah was selfless and loved by everyone who ever had the pleasure and luck of meeting and befriending her.

The love and support from family and friends has been pouring in and so many people are asking if and how they can help support Russell, Eve and Tara at this time.

We have decided to set up a fundraiser to help towards the current stressful financial obligations as approx. 8 weeks ago Russell was involved in an accident where he was rushed to the Alfred hospital in Melbourne with a broken collar bone, 5 broken ribs, fractured neck and cheekbone along with a small brain bleed. Russell was discharged from hospital a week later into the care of Sarah who was looking after him as well as starting a new job herself just a few weeks ago. Russell’s injuries mean he is unable to return to work for some time and his recovery period estimated by Doctors just this Monday 27th March is at least 6 months away, we feel that any financial support could alleviate some of the financial pressures Russell & the girls face as they grieve and navigate life without Sarah. This traumatic and devastating event is and will continue to have a severe financial impact on the Riordon family.
