Sarah Renee Acevedo is the heart of our family—my aunt and uncle’s only daughter and the person who always brought us together. Even now, as she remains in the hospital, her spirit continues to connect us. Sarah was the light of our family, never backing down from anything and always ready to stand up for those she loved. She was the one everyone turned to for news about each other, and her sense of humor and kindness made her a friend to all.

My aunt and uncle are facing the unimaginable: preparing for their only daughter’s funeral while also dealing with hospital bills. The emotional and financial weight is more than anyone should have to bear alone.
