With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Aaron McGarity, who tragically lost his life in a work accident as an arborist on March 31, 2026. He was 36 years old and just weeks away from celebrating his one-year wedding anniversary with his partner whom he adored, Sarah.

Aaron was an intelligent, adventurous, and deeply kind soul. He loved slacklining, climbing trees & rocks, cross-country biking, roller skating and practicing partner acrobatics. Together, he and Sarah embraced a nomadic life filled with travel, connection, and a shared love of vegan food.

Aaron’s presence brought calm, joy, and a sense of safety to those around him. He was a true friend to many and will be deeply missed.

Aaron was also the primary provider for their household. In the wake of this devastating loss, Sarah is facing both profound grief and financial uncertainty. This fundraiser will help cover living expenses, giving her the time and space to grieve, heal, and honor Aaron’s life without the immediate pressure to return to work.
