On Friday, August 21, 2020 Sarah and Mike’s life changed forever. Mike suffered a fall at work from a rooftop, which caused significant bleeding in his brain. Mike is now in the fight of his life in the ICU at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

What makes this day even more unfathomable is that as Sarah was on her way home, from being with her mom in Idaho, she was T-boned, and the force of the impact flipped her car 4 times, landing in the ditch. By some miracle, Sarah was able to walk away from the crash with minor injuries (including a concussion and possible collarbone fracture), although you would not believe it by the damage on her vehicle. Sarah finally made it home, flying back to Edmonton last Sunday night. However, due to COVID restrictions, she is on quarantine and has not yet been able to visit Mike in the hospital.

The outpouring of support from all over the world has been so amazing and overwhelming. Sarah, and her family, are finding strength in everyone’s messages of hope and love. 

This GoFundMe page has been created as a channel for all of those wishing to do something to help Sarah and Mike. No doubt there will be many expenses incurred from both of these incidents, as well as daily living costs.

This is the beginning of a very long road for Mike‘s recovery, and your contributions here will help to make sure that there is support throughout this journey, allowing Sarah to put all of her focus on Mike.

Mike is Sarah’s everything, and as Sarah said, the only thing stronger than Mike, is their love.
