Sarah is a 22-year-old young woman who has struggled with autism since early childhood and was recently diagnosed with a more severe form of mental illness.
Sarah was accepted to "The Cottages on Mountain Creek" in Sandy Springs, GA - a "24/7 residential treatment program geared toward a three to 12 month stay with the goal of re-incorporating higher functioning mentally ill residents back into a home setting and/or an independent living setting with supportive follow-up services."
This facility offers care and support that she could not receive anywhere else and allows her to have a chance at a more independent and stable life. And, of course, this facility comes with a cost. We are very appreciative to all of Sarah's friends and family who have shown an interest in helping provide her treatment.
We hope that this will be a new beginning for Sarah.
