On November 26, the day before Thanksgiving, Sara suffered a bilateral pulmonary embolism. The situation quickly became critical, and complications during her surgery have left her in the Intensive Care Unit. Her husband, Joey Myers, has not left her side for a moment. He is her main supporter.

Because Joey is staying with Sara in the hospital, he is unable to work and is not bringing home a paycheck. Leaving her is not an option, and it shouldn’t have to be. As Sara faces a lengthy and expensive hospital stay, the financial strain is growing. The funds raised here will help cover medical bills that aren’t covered by Sara’s health insurance, as well as living expenses while Joey is out of work caring for her.

Sara is always the first to step up and help a friend in need; I’ve seen it firsthand. She is careful, observant, and intentional in everything she does. She helps others all day, every day at work. Sara Moini is a fiercely private and independent person, and one of the most loyal friends and coworkers I have ever known. Now, it’s our turn to support her.
