Southwest Colorado has been hit with an overwhelming amount of rain, causing severe flooding throughout surrounding communities. Unfortunately, my sister Sara is one of those who has been affected.
When someone in your own family is going through something so devastating, it hits especially close to home. Sara’s house has been flooded and sustained damage, and she will not be able to return home until the floodwaters have completely receded and the cleanup process is finished.
Sadly, she does not have flood insurance, which makes this situation even more difficult. Sara is a first-grade teacher of 11 years who lives alone and truly wants to remain in the home she loves. She now faces the overwhelming challenge of replacing her flooring, repairing the damage, and continuing to pay both her lot rent and mortgage while having to live somewhere else until her home is safe and livable again.
This is going to be a long and difficult road, but I know she will get through it. I want to do everything I can to help her get back on her feet and return to the home she loves.
If you are able to help in any way, no donation is too small. Every contribution, share, and kind gesture means more than you know.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, love, and support. Your donations are truly appreciated! ❤️
