Sam has been struggling with a severe illness since July and will be undergoing an invasive surgery at the end of October to eradicate the continuation of the toll it is taking on their physical and mental health. They are in serious need of support with medical bills, rent payment, and help with monthly bills. While they have an established care team, Sam needs your financial support to ensure their living and medical needs are taken care of.

Sam is queer and non-binary and works in Medicaid, where they ensure life-saving appointments are made to ensure that members; everywhere from brain injury survivors, to disabled persons, to elderly members; have their care needs met. While they find their job incredibly fulfilling, the looming threat of federal funding cuts enhances the mental and emotional strain of job insecurity, and their company does not cover sick leave for medically necessary time off.
