Sam and her family are facing a tragedy that no one should ever have to endure. Just days ago, Sam was driving with her three daughters when their car was struck by another vehicle. The accident claimed the life of her precious 6-year-old daughter, Leila. Her 8-year-old, Lily, suffered a broken spine, pelvis, and face, along with swelling in her brain and fluid in her lungs. Lily is currently in a medically induced coma, fighting for her life. Sam’s youngest, 18-month-old Bella, was also injured and is in the NICU with a concussion, but is expected to be discharged soon. Sam herself is recovering from broken ribs, two black eyes, and severe bruising, making it impossible for her to care for her children right now.

Sam’s partner, John, is still recovering from a motorcycle accident 18 months ago that left him with serious leg and foot injuries. Now, while Sam stays by Lily’s side in the hospital, John is caring for Bella at home and has had to take time off work, leaving the family without their main source of income. The family is struggling to cover daily expenses, including rent and the light bill, and they are barely able to afford food or basic hygiene while spending long days and nights at the hospital.
