Our baby girl, Samantha (“Sammy”), arrived unexpectedly at just 34 weeks and has been fighting bravely in the NICU at Toledo Children’s Hospital for the past 6 weeks. She was diagnosed with NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis), a serious condition that has made her healing journey long and challenging. We travel back and forth to the hospital to be by Sammy’s side, doing everything we can to support her and each other as a family. Through all of this, we are also trying to give her big brother Jensen as much love and attention as possible. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming, with bills piling up and the cost of groceries and daily life becoming harder to manage.

The funds raised will help us cover travel expenses to and from the hospital, ongoing medical care for Sammy even after she comes home, and basic essentials like groceries and bills. My boyfriend is currently on FMLA, but it only provided a paycheck for two weeks. Until Sammy is home and things are more stable, he won’t be able to return to work, which means we’re without an income for now. Your support will help us focus on Sammy’s recovery without the constant worry about how to make ends meet.
