It is with profound sadness that we announce Sameer Sahrudayan passed away on April 5, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Sameer was a man that made a statement no matter where he went. He was known to have the wittiest comments and wore his emotions on his sleeve, leaving all those around him, laughing like never before. He was proud of who he was and all that he put effort into. He made it a point to make others he loved feel so special. Sameer had personable relationships with each and everyone he encountered. He was often the comic relief when things were serious. He brought joy to any circle he was in. As an only child, he often referred to everyone as his “family”.

Since he was a teenager, he had many goals and aspirations. He started Elite Events with his best friend, Kavan. Through this business, he brought entertainment and memories to so many in the greater NY metropolitan area.

Above all, he loved his parents and his family. He leaves behind his dad, Sahrudayan Gangadhara Panicker and his mom, Ammukutty Sahrudayan, and countless aunts, uncles and cousins.

We want to honor Sameer’s life and legacy by being that extended family and supporting his family through this extremely tough time. All proceeds from this GoFundMe will assist his parents in covering any costs for their son’s care from the past few years, as well as towards funeral arrangements to be made.
