My wife Samantha was recently diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer after giving birth to our first child, our son Elijah who is now 10 month old. Normally this wouldn't be such a big deal but the cancer was spread to her lymph nodes and made her surgery recovery a bit harder. She had low calcium spouts due to the additional trauma to her Parathyroid while they were removing lymph nodes. She was then scheduled for Radiation Therapy to sort out the rest of any cancer that might be left, however this has been delayed due the possibility of her having the cancer spread to her bones. Which is now a rigorous amount of unforseen testing and has put such a toll on Samantha emotionally and financially.
