My name is Jennifer and I'm a longtime friend of Samantha. For those who don't know, she had a scary medical emergency over the weekend, and is now on day 3 in the hospital. Samantha is a private person and not one to ask for help. However, she could really use the support of friends and family to help her get through this unexpected and challenging situation. I'm setting this fundraiser up for her because I know she will truly need the help, but would never ask for it. She puts herself before others and lives her life that way, and is deserving of being the one to receive help now that she's the one in need. Her two little girls are being cared for by friends and family who are trying to keep their routines as close to normal as possible. Any funds raised above what is needed to cover expenses will be paid forward to someone in need. Please help if you can. The below is written by Samantha's mom, Pam.
"At 11:00pm on Friday April 1st, Samantha woke up feeling extremely sick. She then was in extreme pain in her upper abdomen and could not walk. Calling 911, she was taken into emergency surgery with a twisted colon. Very unusual for someone as young as she. The surgeon told me (Mom) that had it perforated we would not be having this kind of conversation. The colon had just started to tear so this was a blessing to have such a great Dr that got her into the operating room so quickly. She is in the hospital still and will be, for up to a week. Very intense recovery and timely. Care is lined up for the girls to have their schedules be as normal as possible. This is comforting for her. She will not be able to return to school for several weeks. There will be added unknown expenses of hospital bills for her.
Pray for our girl to heal well. She is strong and otherwise healthy."
