“His Wings Were Ready, Our Hearts Were Not.”

It is with deep sorrow that I share the passing of my brother-in-law, Mathew Mitchell, who has gone to be with our Lord and Savior.

Matt courageously battled stage 4 melanoma, a fight that began after contact during his honorable 15 years of service in the United States Navy. He faced every challenge with courage, strength, and unwavering determination and faith- a true reflection of the hero he was.

Despite undergoing extensive treatments and rehabilitation, Matt endured countless complications and hospital stays. Through it all, he remained brave and never stopped fighting for his family, and for his life.

Though he ultimately lost this battle here on earth, he has been called home to the kingdom of heaven to rest in eternal peace with our Creator. Matt leaves behind his beloved family, my sister Samantha, and my nephew, Kyle- Who will forever carry his strength and love in their hearts.
