Support for Sam Trotz after loss of Luke

On August 15, 2021, our dear friend Luke Trotz, passed away. Luke leaves behind his endearing wife, Samantha Trotz. Luke and Sam married on August 1, 2020 after 11 years of dating—they were inseparable. It is so unfortunate that this amazing couple had only enjoyed a year in marriage before his untimely death, and sadly spent their only anniversary with Luke in ICU.

Luke and Sam are life-long residents of Cambria County, where they were also educated. Both were graduates of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Luke earned his masters degree from Robert Morris University and was working to complete his MBA at Saint Francis. Luke was employed by Saint Francis University.

Luke was vibrant and energetic with a smile that could light up the dark. Many know him from his extensive community involvement, extending from his service at Saint Francis University where he was the dedicated director of their ESports program to his love of baseball and coaching various teams spanning the region. As an involved Delta Chi brother, his Greek family will miss him greatly. He was a fierce friend to all.

Devastatingly, Samantha will be on her own now that Luke has passed. In the days and weeks to come, Samantha will need help and support as she tries to heal from this tragedy. Additionally, Samantha unfortunately will be faced with debts to pay and a significant loss of income. Luke was the primary breadwinner for their family, and Samantha will need help getting back on her feet after this enormous loss.
