Hello, My name is Patricia Costello and I'm trying to raise funds for the family of Samuel Silva.

Sam was the Best Son, Cousin, Nephew, GodSon, Husband, Father, GodFather, Best Man, Compadre, Best Friend, Brother Bonded By Love, Chosen Family Member, Colleague & Genuine True Friend to All.

My Compadre passed away 02/17/2026. He was a young widower and only parent to his only minor daughter. Sam had been feeling sick over the Christmas Holidays, but he and his Dr's thought it was a bad cold/ flu that turned into an pneumonia.

Feeling sick Sam went back work until he was having troubles breathing he could no longer ignore. He was admitted to the hospital 1/12/2026. Where after several tests he was diagnosed with Stage IV Pleural Effusion Renal Cell Carcinoma a very Rare & Aggressive form of Cancer that spread to several vital organs.

In 2021 Sam lost the Love of his Life, his Beloved Wife to Stage IV Breast Cancer.

Sam was the sole provider to not only his young daughter but also to his adult disabled sister Diane who lived with him. Who was also diagnosed with terminal cancer but is currently in remission.

Both Sam & DIane lost their parents. Their Mom to Kidney Cancer and Father to a massive heart attack.

Sam losing his wife, was too painful for Sam to bear that he had to sell his home in Fullerton.

He had just purchased his new home in late 2024 in Ontario. A new community in which he was hoping for a fresh new start to only be blindsided in acquiring a large debt for capital gain. Sam already had a full-time job in Brea for several years and had to get a 2nd part time job to cover his expenses & debts.

Sam was a very responsible, hardworking honorable honest man who sacrificed alot to do right by his daughter and sister.

He was working so hard to pay off his debts the long commute day in day out, the responsibilities to his daughter and sister that he was tired all the time. But he was so busy & tired that he didn't realize he was actually very sick until it was too late.

The last month of Sam's life was a very emotional roller-coaster in all aspects of his health and personal life not only for him but all of his family and friends who tried to fulfill Sam's dying wishes.

We are starting a Go Fund Me to help cover his funeral expenses.
