Support for Sam McClearen

We are reaching out to you on behalf of our friend, Sam
In 2002 Sam was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on his tongue. He had 63 treatments of radiation after surgery which appeared to work. Just recently, June 2019, he began to have issues again and the only answer was to remove 2/3 of his tongue, replacing it with a muscle from his leg. When most people heard what the procedure was, all would say they couldn’t do it, including myself. Sam hesitated at first too, not knowing what his quality of life would be, but told the surgeon that he was doing it for his wife, Kathy and their granddaughter, Izzy who they raise together. They are both his world!
He has to be one of the bravest people I know. For those of you that know Sam and his voicetress personality, know how hard this recovery is going to be. He will need all of our love and support.
We are raising funds to help support his family for medical expenses and ongoing treatment. We would very much like to have money be something he doesn’t have to worry about.
Any donation is greatly appreciated and we thank you in advance.
