Support for Salvadore Merola's Funeral Expenses

Hello, my name is Destiny!

I have put together a go fund on behalf of my sister Val and brother-in-law Sal due to the unexpected loss of their beloved father Salvadore Merola from Pardeesville PA.

Sal was diagnosed on 01/03/25 with stage four lung cancer. At the time of his diagnosis he was medically uninsured and self-employed. Due to being uninsured Sal's treatment plan and further testing was delayed and as a result his health rapidly declined. After multiple strokes and hospital stays Sal lost his mobility and was bed and wheelchair bound unable to return to work resulting in growing debt and medical bills.

The doctors were hopeful in starting treatment and discharged him from Fox Chase on 02/27 to return the following week. Unfortunately on 3/01/25 Sal suffered a stroke on top of a massive blood clot. Sal was put in a medically induced comma and placed on a ventilator where he remained in critical condition. After a thorough medical evaluation from the doctors the family was faced with a difficult decision to pull him off of the machines that were keeping him alive. On 03/03/25 Sal took his last breath and entered his eternal rest surrounded by his close family.

Due to these circumstances the family is struggling to cover funeral expenses due to the sudden and unfortunate turn of events. Any prayers and donation no matter how small will help the family during this difficult time to provide Sal with the proper celebration of life as well as help the family to grieve without the burden of financial stress.
