We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Sally Ann Marie Gleason. Sally was born on August 14, 1955, in Cleveland, OH and peacefully passed away on March 1, 2026. As we prepare to lay her to rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, we are asking for support to help cover the costs of her upcoming funeral and services.

Sally built her life and family in Cortez, where she raised her three children—Jamie, Jeannie, and Jennifer. She became a widow in 1988, and from that moment on, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders with grace, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She worked tirelessly to provide not only a home, but a safe haven. The Gleason home was always a place of comfort, understanding, and second chances—no matter the hardship.

Sally never judged a soul. She lent a hand to anyone in need, regardless of their past or circumstances. Her generosity and compassion were simply who she was.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—warm summer days pulling weeds and planting flowers with her grandkids, warm nights sitting with family on the freshly stained deck, good music playing in the background, small talk and laughter filling the air, an ice-cold Miller Light in hand, and her pack of Yellow American Spirits nearby. Those moments meant everything to her.

Sally was deeply devoted to her faith and her community. She made history as the first female Exalted Ruler of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #1789. During her time there, she proudly hosted breakfasts for veterans and organized annual charity events, including scholarship opportunities for underserved communities and festive holiday programs for families in need. She gave endlessly of her time and heart.

Above all, Sally was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and her Catholic faith. Her love was fierce, protective, and unconditional.

Our family appreciates every donation, share, and prayer during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help us honor Sally’s life and give her the farewell she deserves.

We are deeply grateful for your support—and we know she would be, too.
