Sahirya Avery is my one-year-old daughter, a happy and goofy baby who loved food and brought so much joy to our lives. Despite spending her entire first year in the hospital, she always found ways to smile and make those around her laugh. Her strength and spirit inspired everyone who met her, and she will always be remembered for her light.

Recently, Sahirya passed away after a year of fighting through hospital stays. As her mother, I am facing the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye to my baby. I took unpaid time off work to be with her, and now I am struggling with funeral costs and bills. I still have a two-year-old who needs me, and I am doing everything I can to keep going for my family.
