Hi everyone, vulnerable post here. I’m now on day 12 of being in the hospital for a complicated lung infection (similar to a lemierre’s syndrome for those curious). There’s been scary moments but It finally looks like I am on the mend. However this whole experience has taken a toll on me and my family. Even after I’m discharged (hopefully this weekend) it will be another month at least of healing at home. The healthcare system is amazing but between parking fees, food during hospital visits, me and my family taking time off work, transportation costs and setting up the house for when I return home, costs are adding up. I haven’t been able to work at my shift job for weeks and will be off for the foreseeable future. Any little bit of help would help relieve some stress. healing thoughts and vibes also mean a lot.
