Support For Sadie During Her Recovery

On the evening of October 2nd we got a phone call that no parent wants to receive. It shook our world to its core. Our daughter Sadie was in a terrible accident.  She was riding her bike and, as she crossed thru an intersection, was hit by a car. The bike was completely t-boned and she was thrown up into the windshield. Sadie remembers seeing the car as it impacted her bike, had one  thought cross her mind which was 'brace yourself' and lost consciousness at that point from hitting her head on the windshield. She was thrown from the car to the ground and woke to many strangers surrounding her. She said a women in a white shirt and mask was holding her, caressing her head and was covered in her blood. Sadie recalls screaming out and asking if she was going to die. This stranger, who we are now calling an Angel, assured her repeatedly that she would be okay.  Sadie sustained multiple injuries, but by the grace of God, were non-life threatening.  She fractured her right ankle, separated her AC joint in her shoulder, has a stable fracture in the middle of her back and had 8 staples in her head. This was by far, the best possible outcome for this type of accident! She will heal from every one of these injuries in time without any permanent or life altering repercussions.  The driver (who will remain anonymous unless she chooses otherwise) was beside herself and suffered such trauma in that moment as well, not knowing if Sadie would be okay or not. To Her... we are so grateful to you for staying with her. Please know we pray for you and your family too! This was just a terrible accident which has changed us all but we will all be okay! Sadie has a long recovery ahead of her and will be down for at least a month or two during which time she is unable to work or go back to school. We are asking for kindness of any kind so we can help her with ordinary expenses that are already arising like rent, bills, etc. We are hoping that most of the medical will be covered under insurance and we'll tackle each challenge as it arises. Any funds raised will go directly to her for her bills and financial needs. At this moment, we are simply beyond grateful and feel so lucky to still have our beautiful girl with us.
