We lost a hero, mentor, and deeply loved family man on Tuesday, May 26, after a courageous battle with cancer. For 26 years, Ryan served as a dedicated police officer, always putting the needs of others before his own. His life was defined by service in every sense of the word. Beyond his work in law enforcement, Ryan continued to make a lasting impact through softball, teaching at the police academy, and serving as an instructor and mentor to so many. He was more than a coach or teacher — he changed lives.

Ryan had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, valued, and appreciated. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or on the job, he was committed to helping others grow into stronger, better versions of themselves. Above all, Ryan was an incredible husband to Jen and a devoted father to Liv, Sophie, and Beckett. He was their protector, provider, and safe place. His love for his family was unwavering, and the loss they are now facing is immeasurable.
