With shattered hearts, the wife and family of Ryan Kosla have shared the news that, after a lifetime battle with depression, he tragically took his own life on the morning of October 22, 2025. Ryan, aged 45, is remembered by his devoted wife Rene Kosla (née Elefteriou), 4 beautiful children Camryn, Lily, Carter and Owen, 4 bonus children Nicholas, Jessica, Mel, and Valerie, 3 grandchildren (with one on the way) and a sister, Brittani.

Since the circumstances of his death cannot outweigh the richness of his life, we choose to remember the incredible person he was. For over 20 years, Ryan was a familiar and friendly face at Quaker Steak and Lube, where he didn't just have customers—he built relationships that turned into lifelong friendships. He was always willing to help the next person, a testament to his generous and kind heart. This same kindness was the foundation of his family life. Ryan could often be found in the cheering section at the children’s sporting events, at the gym, or spending time with his beloved dog Guido and the other family pets. Ryan and Rene shared a love for travel, mainly the beaches of Florida, and would get away as often as they could.

This is a devastating loss for the entire family and leaves them with so many unanswered questions and fears for their future. While we cannot predict the financial needs in the months or years to come, there is an immediate need to cover funeral expenses and the loss of household income. Please help ease the burden on this grieving family.
