Support for Ryan Watters after the loss of his leg
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Jorden and with Ryan’s permission, I am asking for all of those following his story to please consider donating and/or share!
November 12, 2021 Ryan’s life changed in an instant when a driver in a SUV cut him off while he was riding his motorcycle resulting in the amputation of his right leg. Since that day, Ryan, has had to completely reinvent his life, endure 20+ surgeries, and jump through countless hoops dealing with disability assistance and medical care.
Ryan is an active guy whose passion is the gym, being active, participating in numerous hobbies, and carpentry. With the loss of his leg, he was no longer able to do the work he so desperately loved, has had to figure out new ways to workout and stay active, and sadly cannot do a lot of activities he once loved.
As happy as we are that he is still here on this earth with us, it has been extremely challenging mentally, physically, and financially. Ryan had a total hip replacement in October 2023 that he had waited over two years for so he could be able to bear weight on his residual limb and get on a prosthetic leg! A few weeks ago he finally took his first unassisted steps on his new prosthesis after not walking for 2 1/2 years! He still has a long way to go while navigating his new leg but he is so determined and working hard towards getting back to some sense of normalcy every day.
Due to the surgeries and his new leg, the medical bills have become overwhelming to say the least. We are asking for any amount of donation (no amount is too small!) and/or share his story in order to help alleviate this financial burden.
Ryan has been documenting his journey and if you’re interested in following along please follow him on Instagram @ryancwatters ! He is just getting started and we are so excited to see how far he goes!
